Meet the Founder
I’ve loved fitness for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Brownsville, Texas, and moved to San Antonio at 19 to put myself through college, where I graduated from UTSA and continued with a year of master’s studies in sports psychology. Coming from extremely humble beginnings, I’ve always known the value of hard work and perseverance. At a young age, I faced a serious health challenge that required me to have one of my kidneys removed, and I’ve been living with one kidney for almost 30 years now. Instead of holding me back, it has fueled my passion to stay healthy and live life to the fullest. As a proud mom of three, my biggest motivation is to be strong, active, and present for my family.
Fitness isn’t just something I do — it’s a lifelong passion that I love sharing to help others build confidence, strength, and healthy habits that last.

Meet the Co-Owner
About Coach Mac, co-owner of HabitsFitness and the heart behind our HabitsFit-KIDS program. With over 15 years of experience in education and coaching, I’ve dedicated my career to helping kids, teens, and adults discover the power of fitness, discipline, and confidence. My journey began as an elementary school PE teacher, where I focused on teaching foundational movement skills and building a love for activity in young students. In addition to my teaching duties, I also coached basketball and volleyball, which allowed me to bring teamwork and leadership lessons into the gym. I went on to join the opening staff at Folks Middle School, where I coached football and track before advancing to the high school level. At O’Connor High School, I served as an assistant coach for football and track, working with athletes to improve their performance and discipline. I later moved to Taft High School, where I continued coaching football and took on the role of Head Boys Track Coach, leading athletes to develop speed, strength, and confidence both on and off the field. These experiences shaped my coaching philosophy and my commitment to developing not just athletes, but strong, resilient individuals.
At HabitsFitness, I bring that same passion to every program we offer. Whether it’s guiding kids in our after-school program, training teens through sport-specific development, or working with adults in personal training, my mission is simple: to create a positive, challenging, and fun environment where everyone can become THE BEST version of themselves.
